The Cumulative Fiscal Year Comparison by Month Viewport compares dollars and donors by month in the current fiscal year against the previous fiscal year. Dollars are counted in the month that the transaction date occurs. Donors are counted in the first month they are credited with a transaction of the selected measurement, so that any double counting is avoided if certain individuals give more than once during the fiscal year.

The Fiscal Year can be changed using the drop down at the top of the tab. This drop down will reload all Viewports in the tab with the selected fiscal year.

The dollar and donor Measurement can be changed using the drop down at the top of the Viewport. Any changes made to the measurement selection are stored, so the Viewport will display you last selection the next time you log in. The following measurement options are available:

  • Cash Dollars - the legal amount of cash transactions (i.e. gifts and pledge payments)
  • Commitment Dollars - the legal amount of commitment transactions (i.e. gifts and pledges)
  • Pledge Dollars - the legal amount of pledge transactions
  • Cash Donors - the number of entities associated with cash transactions (i.e. gifts and pledge payments) through either hard or soft credit
  • Commitment Donors - the number of entities associated with commitment transactions (i.e. gifts and pledges) through either hard or soft credit
  • Pledge Donors  the number of entities associated with pledges through either hard or soft credit

Key Definitions Related to this Viewport:

  • Donors: Number of records that have been credited with an annual fund cash gift in the selected time period.
  • Dollars: Sum of the legal annual fund cash giving in the selected time period
