• Designation Purpose: The particular purpose the donation was allocated to within your institution. 
• Commitments: Legal amount (hard credit) of gifts and pledges made in the given time period for the given designation purpose.
• Donors: The number of unique prospects credited with a commitment in the given time period for the given designation purpose. This includes donors with both hard and soft credit.
  
• Total Donors: The number of unique prospects credited with a commitment in the given time period for any purpose. Some prospects could give for multiple purposes, but this represents the number of unique prospects overall so it will not necessarily equal the sum of the donors for each purpose.  The total legal amount of transactions. Includes gift and pledge transactions. 
• Donors: The number of unique prospects with a donor qualifying commitment transaction (donor indicator is set to true on the transaction).
