The Proposal Yield viewport displays the number of proposals that yielded more than what was asked, less than what was asked or what was asked. The viewport compares the Ask Amount and Granted Amount for all proposals that have a Granted Date in the selected fiscal year. If you have too many proposals for which you are being granted the ask amount or greater than the ask amount, it could indicate that you are not asking for enough and dollars are being left on the table.
