The Monthly Comparison viewport compares annual fund dollars and donors by month in the current fiscal year against the previous fiscal year. Dollars are counted in the month that the transaction date occurs. Donors are counted in the first month they are credited with an annual fund cash gift, so that any double counting is avoided if certain individuals give more than once during the fiscal year.

Select the Donor or Dollar radio button from the Measurement drop down above the chart to toggle between the two values for this report. view the data from various donors or dollars measurements.

Key Definitions:

  • Donors: Number of records that have been credited with an annual fund cash gift in the selected time period.
  • Dollars: Sum of the legal annual fund cash giving in the selected time period
  • Cash: Includes gift and pledge payment transactions designated for the annual fund. This reflects actual dollars received during the period, and donors that paid during the period.
  • Commitment: Includes gift and pledge transactions designated for the annual fund. This reflects dollars generated/committed during the period, and donors who made any commitment during the period, whether or not they paid during the period.
  • Pledge: Includes only pledge transactions designated for the annual fund.
  • Dollars: The total legal amount of the selected measurement (Cash, Commitment, or Pledge) during the selected period.
  • Donors: The number of unique constituent records credited with a transaction of the selected measurement (Cash, Commitment, or Pledge) during the selected period. The donor count includes those with both hard and soft credit.
