The The Monthly Giving Summary Viewport displays  viewport displays dollar and donor performance by month over a five year period. All metrics are within the context of the selected school/unit giving designations, primary relationship types, measurement and measurement. The Unit Change column displays the increase or decrease in dollars or donors from the previous fiscal year to the selected fiscal year. The % Change column displays the percent increase or decrease from the previous fiscal year to the selected fiscal year.

Key Definitions:

• Donor Performance: The  The number of entities that were credited (i.e. soft credit and hard credit) with a transaction a transaction of the selected measurement type in (Cash, Commitment, or Pledge) in the given month. This includes only transactions designated to one of the selected school/unit giving designations, and from entities with one of the Primary Relationship Types selected. Donors are counted in the first month they were credited (i.e. soft credit and hard credit) with a qualifying transaction, so they cannot be counted in more than one month in the same fiscal year period.
• Dollar Performance: Sum  Sum of the legal giving of giving of the selected measurement type in the given month. This includes only transactions designated to one of the selected school/unit giving designations, and from entities with one of the Primary Relationship Types selected.
• Cash: Cash based transactions (i.e. gifts and pledge payments, but not pledges).
• Commitment: Commitment transactions (i.e. gifts and pledges, but not pledge payments).
• Pledge: Includes only pledges.
• (Cash, Commitment, or Pledge) in the given month.
