The release notes reflected below are from the past several releases of Volunteer Network Fundraising This list consists of key new features, as well as issues reported by or of interest to customers. It is not an exhaustive list of updates.

Please note, the majority of the VNF releases have been focused on high urgency bug fixes and behind-the-scenes improvements. 

New Features

  • "Entity ID" has been added as a field to display to volunteers within the campaign. 
  • For increased security and convenience, Volunteer Network Fundraising now utilizes BBID. For information on setting that up, see below: 

Already have a Blackbaud ID?  

If you don’t have a Blackbaud ID account , you can create one by going to https://signin.blackbaud.com/signin/sign-up. You will need to do this in order to access Blackbaud Volunteer Network Fundraising as of November 2, 2021.

 

When creating the BBID account, you must use the same email address that is associated with your VNF account. If you are unsure what email address was used, check with your volunteer coordinator to confirm the email before creating the account.   

  

Please Note: If you use a google email address for your VNF login, you can use the ‘Sign up with Google’ option, but you must remember to use the ‘Sign in with Google’ method to log in to Volunteer Network Fundraising in the web browser and in smart phone app (iOS or android) going forward.   

  

Already have a Blackbaud ID?  

You may have set up a Blackbaud ID before if you have worked as a staff member elsewhere on campus, or at a nonprofit. However, in order to use a Blackbaud ID account with VNF, the email on that account must exactly match email address that your volunteer coordinator used to add you to the Volunteer Network Fundraising platform. You can verify the email associated with your Blackbaud ID account here: https://signin.blackbaud.com/userprofile/.   

  

If the email on your existing Blackbaud ID account doesn’t match, you can either use the link above to change the email address on the existing BBID account or create a new Blackbaud ID account with the correct email address. If there is a problem with the email address used for you in Volunteer Network Fundraising, reach out to your volunteer coordinator, who can correct that for you.  

  

Logging into Blackbaud Volunteer Network Fundraising 

Once your Blackbaud ID account is set up correctly, you can use it to access Volunteer Network Fundraising by visiting https://volunteernetworkfundraising.blackbaud.com/volunteer/. If you use the Volunteer Network Fundraising smart phone application (ioS or android), please update the application first (via the Apple App Store for iOS or Google Play for android) before logging in with your new BBID email and password.

For volunteers, if you need assistance while setting up your Blackbaud ID to log in to Volunteer Network Fundraising, please contact the volunteer coordinator staff member at your institution directly. Your volunteer coordinator can reach out to Blackbaud Support if needed for help with any technical issues they cannot resolve. For staff, please reach out to Blackbaud support.
