The Gift Band Migration viewport illustrates the migration between gift bands over the selected fiscal year and previous fiscal year for retained donors.
In order to be counted as a donor in this report the donor must have been credited with an annual giving cash gift in both fiscal years. The selected fiscal year period is displayed on the horizontal axis of the table and the previous fiscal year is displayed on the vertical axis of the table.
The gift bands represent the sum of credited annual giving cash giving during the two periods.
Each of the numbers in the table are links that will generate a pop-up window that allows you to see the list of the constituent records and their profiles.
Select from the Measurement drop down above the chart to view the data from various donors or dollars measurements.
Key Definitions:
- Cash: Includes gift and pledge payment transactions designated to annual giving. This reflects actual dollars received during the period, and donors who paid during the period.
- Commitment: Includes gift and pledge transactions designated to annual giving. This reflects dollars generated/committed during the period, and donors who made any commitment during the period, whether or not they paid during the period.
- Pledge: Includes only pledge transactions designated for annual giving.
- Donors: The number of unique entities with a donor qualifying transaction (donor indicator is set to true on the transaction) to annual giving. The gift band for the donor is based on the total annual giving credit amount for that entity during each year.
